Salon booking software
Frequently asked questions
The questions salon owners, multi-site operators, and franchise partners ask before moving their group to BookOS, from migration and permissions to data, compliance, and pricing across sites.
Can BookOS run multiple salon locations under one group?
Yes. BookOS is built for multi-location salon operations. Each site keeps its own calendar, staff, and services, while owners and area managers get group-level reporting to compare performance site by site. Adding a new or acquired location uses the same setup, so standards and processes stay consistent as the group grows.
Can we migrate our existing client list and booking history?
Yes, both. Your client list imports from a CSV file, so customer records move across without re-keying, and your booking history comes too, with each past and upcoming appointment mapped to the right stylist and service. It reads the common salon exports, whether Square, Fresha, Treatwell, or your own spreadsheet, so repeat-visit tracking and reporting work from day one rather than only from your launch date. We run the import with you during onboarding, so tell us what you are moving from and we will confirm exactly what transfers.
Can staff and managers have different access at each location?
Yes. BookOS uses role-based access, so receptionists, stylists, and managers each see only what they need. Permissions can be scoped per location, so an area manager sees their sites while head office keeps group-wide visibility, and every change is recorded in an audit trail.
Is our client data secure and GDPR-compliant across the group?
BookOS is built with GDPR-aligned data handling and EU data residency for salon client records, with row-level isolation between businesses. Your customer list stays yours across every site. We do not sell, share, or market to your clients, and you can export your data at any time.
How does pricing work across several locations?
BookOS uses transparent subscription tiers, with additional locations available as an add-on rather than a separate contract per site. The right tier depends on your number of sites, staff, and the features you need, so see our pricing page or book a demo for a group quote.
Will online booking reduce no-shows across our sites?
No-shows scale with chair count, so this matters more for a group. BookOS sends automated text and email reminders the day before, and can securely keep a card on file for no-show protection without charging the customer when they book.
Are we locked in, and can we leave with our data?
Your data is yours and exportable, so you are never held hostage by the platform. BookOS is a straightforward subscription with a monthly option, so there is no long-term contract required to get started. If you ever move on, we provide a full export of your salon and client data.
Does BookOS support retail and product sales?
Yes. You can sell retail, gift cards, and packages through an integrated webshop, so product revenue sits alongside your services in one system, with consistent products and pricing across every location.
